Hammann discussed the safety performance YTD. The current record able rate is excellent and would only be bettered by the 1980 record. The 10 recordables would be a new record. Hammann reviewed the PMSB meeting. SHAC has been asked to review the tank entry permit procedure - due to the PA tank incident. LP&S will review the vessel sniffing procedure. ( The Nitrogen hose station survey was reviewed and it was agreed that all units will gain compliance as indicated. Based on the S&PP inspection it was agreed that inspection of instrument cabinets for dust, dirt and excess parts that could cause a problem would be included in the quarterly inspection. Conrad will discuss a possible program with Paul Saunders. Hammann will issue a SHAC alert in regard to guards around poly carbonate and glass bowls under gas pressure. Howe Plans for the fourth quarter inspection were discussed. The inspec tion will be held between January 9-20. Howe will finalize plans and communicate accordingly. Hammann will issue the bicycle safety bulletin to expanded staff and ask that the rules be covered in January safety meetings. Plant news paper coverage will also be handled by Hammann.
