The original proposal was for 5 micrograms whicn was.changed to 10 following testimony presented at a public hearing by a consultant representing the New Mexico Manufacturer's Association and Ethyl Corporation. ' This Albuquerque air quality standard of 10 was adopted despite the fact th,at 5 micrograms of lead per cubic mfcter of air averaged over 30 days standards had previously been enacted by the States of Montana and Pennsylvania and the city of Dallas, Texas. \ Copies of the Albuquerque regulations are availably upon request.
