Tear Mr. Williams: I am forwarding to you herewith the analytical results obtained on the four samples of dust which you forwarded to me some days ago. You will note that the collected dust in the Melting Room and in the Blast Cleaning Department have approximately the same composition with respect to lead. The sample from the Cleaning and Grinding Room is unusually high* and I think this is a very significant fact. It is possible that this high result may have been due to a rather unusual quality of larger particles, and therefore I think it would be a good idea if we were to have several Individual samples of dust from different sources in these two areas. Whenever such samples are collected in groups and combined together we are likely to lose out on the specific information concerning individual areas in the plant. You can use your own judgment on this matter, and I think it would be wise if we were to have a few additional samples, each one of which ha3 been taken from a specific point which is related to a particular occupation, if that Is possible.
