Lojewski Attached are the VCM personal monitoring results for the Flemington and Burlington Resin Plants and the Burlington Compound Plant, by job class ification, for the month of June, 1975. Values are presented using two techniques: 1. "Ceiling" exposure values, using 15-minute sampling with charcoal tubes. 2. Eight-hour time-weighted averages, generated by averaging the values obtained in successive 1-1/2 hour sampling for an eight-hour work shift. For the 15-minute ceiling values, there were no exposures measured greater than 10 ppm in any of the plant locations during the month. It should be noted that the Compound Plant showed some unusually high results in 15-minute sampling - 4.1, 4.3 and 4.3 ppm. An analysis of possible causes for these results is covered in a separate report. Since these are 15-minute values (with an OSHA maximum of 5 ppm), and since ali eight-hour TWA results during the month, including both those reported here and those computed from the Bendix results, are well under the OSHA maximum of 1 ppm, there is no need to establish a regulated area in the Compound Plant.
