This attracted considerable attention and caused favorable comment. Dr. Huntington Williams, Baltimore Commissioner of Health, and prin cipal speaker at the meeting, paid high tribute to the Foundation. (He had talked to Mr. Waters of the Legal Committee before coming here.) I was in Washington and Baltimore during the week. Visited the O.S. Public Health Service where I discussed the advisability of their drafting a model health plan for industry. They invited me to speak on the subject at the annual meeting of Governmental Industrial Hygienists in Washington next month. Also contacted Dr. Sayers and Mr. Ahearn, Foundation Board members. In Baltimore the following day I visited the Rustless Iron St Steel Compaxy. They contracted with us for an industrial hygiene survey. I called on the Standard Lime & Stone Company which agreed to join the Foundation. 1 had an appointment with Mr. Stanley of the Maryland Self Insurers' Association and urged the desirability of the survey service for his companies. Conferred at length with Mr. Waters who is anxious to bring the Foundation's legal bulletins up to date. I also contacted Dr. Hussey of the Maryland Industrial Accident Commission.
