Water infrastructure is essential for healthy communities and the success of our local and national economies. Making sure that all customers have affordable and adequate drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater services (collectively referred to as "water services") is critical for all communities to thrive.
To address local needs, a number of drinking water and wastewater utilities have developed customer assistance programs (CAPs) to help financially constrained customers maintain access to drinking water and wastewater services. These programs help households address issues with affordability and help protect public health throughout the community.
