Tate/Stephen,
I thought the roundtable event yesterday was great. Lots of accomplishments in a very short amount of time. Thank you for including me.
Per our discussion, attached is an invitation (and completed scheduling request form) from Citizens Energy's CEO, Jeff Elarrison, to tour their $2 billion tunnel project, which is the byproduct of a consent decree to improve the City of Indianapolis' combined sewer overflow system. The Diglndy project has been a great success and will significantly enhance water quality in Central Indiana.
You will be pleased to know that Citizens Energy is VOLUNTARILY exceeding the terms of the consent decree by increasing the capture rate to 99%, while at the same time reducing the project cost by $400 million. This project is a win for the EPA, IDEM, City of Indianapolis, Citizens Energy and Hoosier ratepayers.
The Diglndy project would provide a great backdrop for the Administrator to discuss his efforts to improve water quality around the country and success of WTFIA. Below is a link to the Diglndy project for your review. There are some great pictures that will give you a better feel for the project.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.
