Dr. R. A. Kehoe Cincinnati
Dear Dr. Kehoe!
A Mrs.]
1569 - 47th Street, Brooklyn,
New York, telephoned us today to talk~about her husband who operates a
Gulf Oil Corporation dealer station at 111 Neptune Avenue, Brooklyn.
It appears that her husband has acquired a skin rash or irritation
which their physician believed was due to exposure to the leaded gaso
line handled at his station. The physician in question evidently be
lieved that breathing the fumes was largely responsible.
I was able to obtain from Mrs.
the name of this
physician - ^ ^ D j ^ H y m a n Colin, 1613 - 44th Street, Brooklyn, who happens
to be Mrs. ' ^ B ^ ^ B ^ ^ b r o t h e r . I then telephoned Dr. Colin and without
discussing M r . ^ | ^ H H ^ ^ c a s e or commenting upon it in any manner, sug
gested that he wrSK^youdirect, giving you the necessary details which
in turn would enable you to reply with whatever suggestions you felt were
in order. Dr. Colin seemed very glad to have this opportunity to consult
with you, so probably by the time you receive this letter you will likewise
have heard from him.
-
The Gulf Oil Corporation is acquainted with the case and is not at all alarmed, as they feel that it is similar to other experiences called, to their attention in the past. Neither they nor ourselves will take any further action unless we hear from you to the contrary.
