The Asbestos Information Association/North America, 22 East Oth Street, New York C ity , also has Che matter under consideration. They have stated that there is no evidence that anyone has ever contracted disease from exposure to the minute amounts of asbestos released through the wearing or weathering of finished asbestos products. Member companies are considering*phasing out the word "asbestos" in e l l product names. I t vas suggested that the name of the In stitu te be changed to eliminate tbe word "asbestos".
