Tax reform might tell us whether the individual mandate really works
Few elements of the Affordable Care Act inspire as much controversy as the individual mandate -- the requirement that all individuals buy health insurance or face a government-imposed penalty. Despite all the focus on the mandate, we don't really know whether it did much to expand insurance coverage. We may soon have the answer.

Don't be fooled by `secular stagnation'
"Secular stagnation," a belief that America has fallen into a persistent state of low growth and investment, calls into question whether the American economy can grow by more than 2 percent over the next decade. Secular stagnation is a political excuse for bad policies that we don't have to accept. We need better policies.
