The aim is therefore to simplify the restrictions and authorisations, to have GRA for the whole categories of uses (consumer/professional groups); GRA will be proposed but only for certain categories for consumer uses. ECHA will consult different committees and then the Commission will take decisions on possible exemptions taking account of technologies that are essential for the green and digital transition (solar panels, medicine). Commissioner Sinkevicius had invited different industry groups showing the recognition that Commission is aware of the high political stakes in this discussion.
