Cleveland, Ohio on Friday, February 27, 1953 at 3:00 P.M*

In tbe absence of the Chairman, Nr. Dvlght P. Joyce, President,
presided er*i Hr. R. D. Horner, Secretary, recorded the Minutes. 1
The Committee, upon motion duly Made end seconded, unanimously
approved a contract enhaStted by the Secretary hereby the Company
agreed to lease frou Tbe Hay Department Stores Company la Baltimore,
Maryland, 1,100 square feet of space, located on the sixth floor of the
Nay store In that city, for tbe purpose of tafclx* over a-paint department
previously operated by Tbe May Departent Stores Company. Under the
agreement the May store would be granted compensation equivalent to 17^
of Tha Glidden Coapany'e total paint sales made in the Nay store.
The Coarfttee considered the purchase of recant property ad
joining the Faint Division** Kev Orleans plsat, negotiations for which
had previously beta authorised by tbe Board of Director* on January 16,
1953* Upon notion duly smde, seconded ana unanimously carried. It mae

Srt be and he is hereby authorised to murchaee or behslf of this Corporation certain real property known as SUt-16 and 2U&-2C Rceaeui Street, Few Orleans, Louisiana, for the sue of Thirteen Thousand Dollar* ($13,000), and to execute any and all docu ments, in-.lv'ins ea Act of Bale which may be required by law to consuaaate ssld purchase.

dry carbonate of uMte lead for a period of flee years froa the Cheaicale,
Pigments A Metals Division.
