Mr . Va rren A . Cook Dr. M . h. KrcnenLerg Major A . f . Brandt
Gentlemen! ;
In accordance wlch the plan agreed upon our committee- r.hould get. together at the earliest possible time to consider the details of the program for the next meeting. I dare say all of us have adequate material on hand with vhich to make up the program, and I see no need for further delay in view of the advisability of getting out a tentative program at a very early date.;
From the viewpoint of my ovn convenience I would suggest any day during the week of January 21. If you would be good enough to get together by telephone and come to an agreement on one of the days during, that week or on some other that is mutually acceptable,: one of you can let me know, and I shall be glad to come to Chicago to meet with you at a designated time and place. I should appreciate your prompt action on this, since I am having some difficulty in avoiding interfering engagements.
Chere have been recent items of information in the press lately to the effect that all conventions, or at least all unnecessary conventions1should be done avay with during the current year. For this reason it would be advisable to confer with the repre sentatives of A.A.I.?. and S. so as to ascertain what action if any, is being considered by them in this connection. In any case It would seiem advisable to meet with one or more of their repre sentatives in or-der to set up & joint program on a mutually acceptable basis. It seems that this has largely been done, but we may just; as well assure ourselves at this time.
I am sending an additional copy of this letter to Jack Bloomfield in case he may have some instructions to issue to us in connection either with; the meeting of our committee or for any other reason.
Cordially yours,
Iobert A . Kehoe, M. D .
