^ORTANT OPERATIONS
16. Adjust sifter for maximum screening efficiency.
KEV POTNTS
16. Don't add excessive weight or you will back up the product in the hopper. Check that screen is taut. Vary the vibration until the optimum setting is obtained for minimum rejection. Check that the screen is not plugged with coarse particles.
17. Sampling of product. Sampling is critical as we rely upon these to determine the quality of the product before shipping to our customers.
17. Sample hourly to obtain one gallon represent ative sample, each lot. Take a four or. jar sample hourly for moisture test. Cap the jar tightly as soon as it is filled to prevent moisture loss to the atmosphere. Composite container should be marked with the date, lot #, type product, blend tank and bin number. Jar samples should be marked the same. When a small lot is being dried, you must increase the volume of the sampling to assure a full gallon representative sample when the lot is completed.
18. Quality checks should be carried out periodically as properties can change due to the variables in polymerization or in the drying equipment.
18. A. Line out sample to lab. within the first half hour.
B. Sample to lab. every two hours thereafter.
C. Check for milling in the scalpings drum.

utilized constructively.
Pre-filters may be changed while operating.
B. Weekly check circulation line victaulic
fittings and clamps.
C. Once per week send wet cake sample to
control for % moisture.
20. Maintain a high standard of GHK in the drying areas.
20. A high standard of GHK is essential- to prpduce a quality product. The degree of GHK that is maintained is in direct ratio to the operator's interest in his job.
21. Record production.
21. Form #17 and #38.
