As I wrote Mr. Edmondson, skin contact with the material should not cause any more of a reaction than if one were exposed to a paint remover. Of course, this latter could cause a certain amount of burning and a certain amount of defatting of the skin and might, in some cases, lead to complaints on the part of the workmen. If skin contact cannot be avoided, then I would recommend the prior application of a silicone base ointment such as "Covicone" or the use of rubber gloves. I realize, of course, that in many instances of working around compressors, the use of gloves is not feasible. In this case if contact must be prolonged, I believe the use of a protective cream as well as careful frequent washing should minimize your trouble I will appreciate hearing from you if your problem continues.
