ANNOUNCEMENT i i 1990 Monsanto MONSANTO CHEMICAL COMPANY Concurrent with the transfer of Bernard J. Hill to the new Monsanto-Exxon Elastomers venture, the responsibility for Product Safety Management support for Rubber Chemicals is assigned to Jeffrey D. Felder, Manager, Product Safety for Resins and Polymer Modifiers. An orderly transfer of responsibilities will occur during the transition period. Stephanie J. Geiselmann will join MCC Environmental Operations from the Environmental Sciences Center as a Product Safety Supervisor reporting to Mr. Felder. Ms. Geiselmann will provide product safety management support to Resins and Advanced Performance Materials. Also, the MSDS function has been restructured to improve efficiency. Anne D. Hatten, Product Safety Coordinator, and Merilynn D. Rhine Jones, MSDS Coordinator, will report to Donald G. Montgomery, Senior Product Safety Specialist, who will assume the additional responsibilities of MSDS Supervisor. Mr. Montgomery will continue to support James P. Mieure, Manager, Product Safety-Detergents and Phosphates, and James E. Downes, Manager, Product SafetyProcess Chemicals, Functional Products and Hater Treatment Chemicals while reporting administratively to Dr. Mieure. Mr. Hill has been a consistent contributor to Rubber Chemicals and Elastomers, and we wish him and the new Elastomers venture great success. Francis E.
