At this tine we would enter the following progress report covering only the Items considered Incomplete when we last contacted your Department. This Is to advise that as of this date, 10-1-73 we will no longer use asbestos in our dry product line of Joint compounds. These bag products account for 40 to 45Z of our production. This will remove the major source of asbestos contamination for our plant employees. Asbestos Is still used in our wet product. Ready Mix. Our recent tests show that our controls meet the standard requirements In this area. The Permanent Engineering and administrative controls Is still on schedule and no problems are anticipated In this regard. If you or your staff require further Information, please advise.
