GENERAL ELECTRIC SEMINAR, JANUARY 12, 1973 MR. JAMES NELSON, SCHENECTADY, N. Y. CONSULTANT-PRODUCT ENVIRONMENTAL CGMPATABILITY
Mr. Nelson, who started this whole thing off, turned the direction over to Egge because, in his opinion, General Electric has more to learn in the Hygienic and Medical areas. He will attempt to pick up background knowledge for whatever use it will be to him in the future. He believes that we have designed this program in the proper way.
He would add only one specific question - the Utility customer of General Electric periodically takes down turbine generators. The insulation lagging which goes on the turbine as a wet mud is, of course, removed at the time of dismantling in a very dry dusty state. GE has had complaints about this dusty operation from Utility cus tomers. The question is what can they do about controlling this problem so as to protect workers and eliminate the local complaints.
Mr. Nelson plans to come down on Friday morning. I extended an invi tation for Thursday night, but he doubts he can make it. If he does come Thursday night he will call us at the Dorset.
