Uptain July 26, 1983 : VCM AND LEAD DOSIMETRY ANALYSIS - QUALITY ASSURANCE __ In an effort to try to maintain quality assurance of VCM and lead dosimetry lab analysis, please schedule VCM and lead check samples as follows: VCM Schedule one VCM check sample each quarter (Safety Director, Safety Supervisor, or Safety Inspector - all on a rotating basis). Each check sample should be handled exactly like all other VCM dosimetry samples, except that: 1. A pre-arranged code, indicating that the sample is a check sample, should be placed on the dosimetry card. 2. The Safety Department person being "sampled" will keep the dosimeter involved inside a closed, plastic container, located in the Safety Department office area, throughout his entire work period. Lead Once each quarter, select a fresh filter cassette, fill out a dosimetry card, assign the card number to the cassette, and send the cassette to Research Services for routine lead analysis.
