H*Y* My dear Doctor Edgars Hot knowing what your laboratory has done in the way of analyses for lead in various gasolines, 1 have felt it advisable for own knowledge because of the suggestion of Doctor Leake of the Public Health Service to obtain certain samples of gasolines during the course of our present investigation, for analysis in our usual way for lead content# Some of these, I understand, have been sent to your laboratory* I want to be especially careful not to throw any con siderable portion of work on your group and so incon venience you in your work, but you trill understand, I am sure, that with the analytical work on about two hundred men we have about all the work we can carry at present* It is for that reason that I have send' these to your laboratory rather than having them r&n here# It occurred to me also since you have probably been doing some of this work, it would be quite unneces sary to duplicate your results, I should appreciate it very much for that reason if you would let me know what you have done along this line in various parts of the country, but particularly in Ohio .where, of course, moat of our test cases will be found * I hope that this finds you in good health and not too much over worked* With kindest personal egar&s* Very truly yours.
