.1 Dear Mr. Wyatt:
ii Attached are the results of analysis of the air samples taken in your plant
in February, 1969. The impringor sample results were forwarded earlier but
are included here to show their relationship to the membrane filter samples.
i The membrane filter samples were counted in accordance with the method as
I |
outlined by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists
e
(ACGIH). The results can be compared to the 1968 "Notice of Intended
Changes" Threshold Limit Value (TLV) of 12 fibers/ml> 9y in length.
These results show that only one work site sampled yielded as asbestos
fiber concentration in excess of the TLV. Comparison with the study done
in September, 1966, in your plant indicates a significant improvement in
dust levels.
Sincerely,
Attachment
