`c t' i /'> o i4>CX Friction Products Division Troy, Michigan Date; February 11, 1987 Subject: Experimental Order Mo.15660 From: Tot R. E. Nelson A. R. Hummel winchester Attached 1b a copy of the subject experimental order. This is another one for the Vehicle Research & Test Center at East Liberty, Ohio run by NHTSA. Dick Radlinski is continuing with hiB evaluation of various friction materials. We, of course, have supplied him both 931-162 and 3030-67 in the past for these tests. He is now asking for 693-551C for use as baselines to compare many of these asbestos free materials that he is testing. While I understand there is a ban on entering experimental orders for asbestos materials, this is a specialized case as it will not result in any asbestos business. * It is again one of those programs where he is asking for four sets each from three different batches and it is important, of course, that those setB from each batch are properly identified. I have marked the order to make the shipment all at one time which, I assume, would.be the easiest for you to keep track of* If you find it is easier to ship material on a partial basis, then it is necessary that all material from each batch be included in any one shipment. I have not put an "A" priority on this because that really is not necessary though I am sure Dick would appreciate receiving this material in a reasonable time if that is possible* . Should you nave any questions, please don't hesitate to call me. REN/bd oc: JPKwolek CAMartin/File Nelson VV:- SC1 01561
