FOR DMEDIATE RELEASE FLETCHER W. ROCKWELL DIES NEW YORK, JUNE 28, 1967 " Fletcher W. Rockwell, former hoard chairman of National Lead Company, died on June 2b at Daytona Beach, Florida. He was 90 years of age. Upon his retirement from the company in 19^8, Mr. Rockwell had completed 52 years of service. He began his company career as plant superintendent of the Southern White Lead Works, Chicago in 1896. He came to New York in 1920 as production manager of the company. He was elected a member of the board of directors in 1926, a vice president in 1937> and president in 1938. In 19^-7 he became chairman of the board, which position he held at the time of his retirement.
