Dear Sirs
According to S.C. Gilfillan, in his article "Lead
Poisoning and The Pall of R o n e 11 (J. of Occupational
Medicine, Vol*7, 1965, p*57), he submitted a number of
Roman skeletons to your laboratory sometime prior to 1965
to have their lead content assessed* M y own research
involves a similar study, however X do not concur with
his conclusions*
.
X would appreciate receiving a complete report on
your findings* I desire to know whether any of the tests indicate plumbism, the -age and sex of the skeletons if
they were subjected to an osteological analysis, whether
tests were conducted, and any data provided by
Gilfillan on the source of thesd skeletons and the
conditions of their burial* If he has' submitted any
more samples since 1965, the same information would be
appreciated*
.
Yours truly,
