Dear Dr. Kehoei
I am enclosing a letter to Mr. Webb, President of the Ethyl Corpora tion, from the Acting Surgeon General, with the request that you submit it to him.-
I wish to join my voice to the rest of our- committee in saying that the material which you prepared as the subject matter for this letter vTas certainly a fine job and all that will be necessary to satisfy the Ethyl Corporation and its subsidiaries.
With further reference to the publication of this material in the Public Health ieports, do you think that it should be published as a letter to Mr. Webb, or just the substance of the letter that was prepared, without the salutation and the closing paragraph. I do not suppose that Mr. Webb would have any objection to this procedure.
Sincerely yours,
/ / J. G. I'owns end , Medical Director Chief, Industrial Hygiene Division
