This letter is to follow-up on a recent call report by Bill Hunnicutt that included a discussion of employee health effects when using Vista 226FR PVC Compound.
As a chemical manufacturer, Vista is concerned with the safety and health of those using our products and attempts to follow-up on potential health effects to determine cause. Also, we are obligated to comply with the Provisions of the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), Section 8(c), which requires the recording of possible adverse health or environmental effects.
I have enclosed a form to be used for this purpose.
Based on
conversations with Bill Hunnicutt, I believe the allegation involves
skin irritation on exposed areas of employees who had contact with
processing vapors on a wire coating machine.
Please complete the
form and return to me, as indicated on the form. We will keep you
informed on any results of our investigation into possible causes of
the odor irritation.
