Under ordinary operating conditions the tem perature of the smooth, enameled and non-waterbacked exterior of the firepot is no higher than the temperature of the water in the tank. Th is lining not only contributes to the efficiency of the heater, but also provides for a quick pick-up capacity. For the lining retains the heat .of the fire, and after a shaking-down and the addition of more fuel, the new charge of coal quickly ignites. The radiant heat of the glowing coals plays directly on the broad bottomed, water-backed surface of the tank, and the heated water rises, extracting increasing amounts of heat from the gases in the central flue. The Ideal Kolflash Heater has been designed with deep firepot especially to provide for long firing periods. Specifications Large combustion chamber insures minimum at tention.
