Browning L. Schwab The committee met to discuss considerations surrounding the present temporary ban of Lion's Seal Perm. It was agreed that prior dangers involved in the use of this solvent base insula tion coating have been in its misapplication; and that if label directions are followed the chances of flammability are remote The committee agreed on these three points: 1. This is no argument as to the superiority of the cured material in performance and flammability. 2. Application to cold heat-insulation presents no problem, but hot work requires the adherence to label precautions. 3. Field control by both Maintenance and Construction Departments is necessary to prevent fires. Therefore; it is recommended that the temporary ban on the use of solvent base insulation coatings be lifted; -- it being understood that necessary steps are to be taken to insure proper use of these materials.
