Ramby ,_v Maintenance Supervisor CED0005812 BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR 8" FIREWATER LINE Coastal States Petrochemical Company Corpus Christi, Texas October, 1967 ^ ^ CED0005813 JOB SPECIFICATIONS I. SCOPE These specifications shall apply to a firewater line, that is to be installed at Coastal States Petrochemical Company, Corpus Christi, Texas, in the Alky, Cumene and E.B. Unit area, according to the attached drawings. II. SPECIFICATIONS The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, utilities, insurance, and materials except valves which shall be furnished by Coastal States Petrochemical Company. Concrete shall be 3000 psi, 28-day ultimate strength, and shall be constructed according to the American Con crete Institute. Steel piping shall be ASM A 53 Gr. B, and shall be welded according to AWS Standards. ASME Welding Qualifications, Section IX, shall apply. All underground piping shall be coated and wrapped according to NAPCA Specification TF2 and all joints shall be cleaned, primed, double wrapped with 20 mils of polyethylene tape, and wrapped with 150# felt. All piping above ground shall be sandblasted according to SSPC-SP 1063T, "Near White Metal Blast", shall be painted with one coat of Briner #2810 Durapon red chromate primer 2-3 mils dry film thickness, one coat of Briner #2809 Durapon green primer 2-3 mils dry film, and one coat of Briner #2842 Red 2-3 mils dry film. All painting shall be done according to SSPC Specifications. III. GENERAL CONDITIONS Working hours shall be from 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. Coastal States holidays shall be observed. The contractor shall comply with the requirements of the plant Safety Department. The contractor shall provide and maintain, at his own expense, with carriers acceptable to Coastal States, the following insurance, to be evidenced by Certificates of Insurance furnished to the Company by the carriers: 1. Workmen's Compensation Insurance, including death coverage. 2. Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance on operations with minimum limits as follows: Bodily Injury ---------------------------- $100,000/$300,000. Property Damage------------------------- $50,000. on any one accident. All .bids shall be submitted to H. B. Ramby, Coastal States Petrochemical Company on or before 12:00 noon, October 13, 1967. The job shall be com pleted within 30 days after contract agreement or the contractor shall for feit 1% of quoted contract price for each day thereafter.
