K- Mitchell (memo, P, K. Mitchell to J. N. Maloney, Oct. 7, 1970 Is attached) and two bay vrtcr samples submitted by A. J. Zabinski (Labeled G and M) did not contain any detect able lindane, mathoxychlor, or aroclor 1254 -- detection limit for aroclor 1254 is 0.2 ppb. A total of 12 sediment samples have been received for analyses. All samples have been worked up and chromatographic scans obtained. Two of these samples have been quantitatively analyzed for aroclor 1254: . Bottom Mud at Baffle M2C 10/29/70 11:30 26 ppm Bottom Mud Mid Length M3C 10/29/70 11:30 86 ppm Additional, clean-up is necessary before the other samples can be quantitatively analysed. It will probably require Luo-three wtekn to complete these analyses. Completed analyses will be reported weekly. "7il2 Charles E. Cutchcr.s /l bsb i. if *,rv. i'-f DEC 2 1970 ADMINISTRATION 0EPT.
