DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE SION OF INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND HOSPITALS 4200 EAST NINTH AVE. DENVER, COLO, December 27, 1959 Dr. R. A. Kehoe University of Cincinnati Cincinnati, Ohio Dear Dr . Kehoe: I have just received the Ohio In dustrial Hygiene Bulletin, Volume I, No. 8 which contains an article on lead poison ing in Ohio and also an article on the basophilic aggregation test. If I am not mistaken, you do not place a great deal of confidence in the baso philic aggregation test as an indication of acute lead absorption. I should like to have you express to me your confidential opinion on the basophilic aggregation test and also on the reason for its being sponsored by Markwith and Smith. -1 am interested in your comments since I regard you as one of the real authorities on lead poisoning and wish to know your reaction so that I may express it authoritatively to our students here in the University of Colorado. I should also appreciate receiving from you any reprints dealing with your work on lead absorption or lead poisoning. With kindest personal regards, DEC:hsa Kr 0015999
