HIGHLIGHTS 1. ADT has completed all work related to fire alarm system except
a curb box reset indicating device. 2. Northeast Sprinkler will replace the cooling tower valve when
it becomes available. The valve has been ordered. 3. Special physical monitoring of vinyl chloride has been reinsti-
tuted now that the manpower distributed to the EPA project has returned to their normal duties.
4. The trackmobile is still under repair. The plant is currently awaiting rebuilding of the engine. An October availability is expected.
5. EPA punch list work was affected by problems related to. new equipment ''start-up" and the necessary revisions to mainly the vent condenser and waste water transfer tank discharge. V.'ork continues on glycol tracing and insulation.
6. The Bendix area monitoring system was down for three days in September due to a short causing backfeed through the DMTJX boards in the computer. CIS was called to repair the unit.
7. The Safety Engineer recommended through advice by the EPA Coordinator the purchase of an oscilloscope to help oinpoint Bendix problems and lessen the need for CIS repairs and the cost involved.
8. CIS initiated the "start-up" of a new chromatograph in the in cinerator area.
9. Hnu status remains one of three works and of the three, one is out for repair. Two Century O.V.A. units were sent out for re pair (EPA).
10. The fork truck training orogran was completed during September 6, 7. and 8. This was accomplished by actual driving on all three shifts for the three days involved.
11. Seven material safety data sheets were submitted to R. Latham.
