N. 3 .'>7. / Dear Sir DROMNING FATALITY : I deeply regret to have to advise that'Cyril Tolson, Mill Shift Boss, was drwwned in the swimming pool at about 4*30 p.m. on Christmas Day. Approximately forty people were at the pool but Tolson was not missed until a party of them were about to go home. Just how long he had been under water at this stage is not lmown. The body was recovered in ten feet of clear water shortly after Tolson was missed, and artificial resuscitation carried out without pause for two hours until rigor commenced to set in. In addition, the first aid attendant, Mrs. Tangney, gave injections to stimulate heart action. Everything possible was done but at no time was there a sign of life. Dr. Saint carried out a post-mortem on Tuesda.v morning 2?th inst.and later the same morning the funeral took place at Wittenoom cemetery.
