Dear T a te-
Hello and hope you are doing well. W hen we met the other week regarding an interagency meeting on streamlining the CW A 404 perm itting process, I handed you an envelope with a letter from AGC's CEO Stephen Sandherr to Adm inistrator Scott Pruitt (dated June 7, 2017) - requesting a m eeting to discuss key environm ental issues for the com m ercial construction industry. As we discussed, AGC was (and still is) having trouble determ ining w ho, in your office, is currently in charge of scheduling A dm inistrator Pruitt's meetings. W e still have not heard back from anyone.
Attached is a new, updated request/letter from Steve to Administrator Pruitt (dated Sept. 8, 2017) inviting him to speak on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at AGC's upcoming National & Chapter Leadership Conference. In attendance w ill be the owners, presidents and/or chief executive officers of AGCmember companies and AGC's national and chapter officers (more than 100 people).
As you w ill see from the em ail below, w e have already shared this invite w ith our contacts in the Office of Policy in hope that it will get into the right hands. But I w anted to circle back w ith you as well.
If you have a m om ent, can you please forw ard this message and/or "reply to all" and let us know who AGC should contact directly to get this meeting set up? Thank you very much for your help.
And let me know how things are going on the 404 meeting front and if there's anything I can do to help, in that regard.
Have a good week.
Thanks again,

Daisy and Nena,
It was great meeting you both, and we are looking forward to the new Smart Sectors program. We are also very pleased to hear about the Administration's focus on permit streamlining. Our members will be very keen to hear this as well as the incorporation of lean principles you mentioned the otherday, and how that may reduce redundancy and perhaps paperwork burdens associated with regulatory programs. In that spirit, I'd like to follow up on our CEO Steve Sandherr's invitation for ERA to address to our association's national and chapter leadership later this month while they are in town (Willard Intercontinental, Sept. 24-27). May I entrust this invitation in your hands to get it to the right person with Administrator Pruitt's staff? We'll also send if directly, but you know exactly what we're looking for as well as the opportunity this presents not only to build support for the new Smart Sectors program but also to showcase the Administration's commitment to streamlining environmental permitting and lean principles to leading construction firms across the country. We are suggesting a morning briefing from S:45AM to 9:45AM on Tuesday, Sept, 26, but of course, would do our best to accommodate schedules.
Leah and I would be happy to meet with you and Mr, Tomiak further. Beginning with our meetings with our environmental steering committee next week, and then we can arrange a time specific for the streamlining issue. I hope the documents were of heip, it's a lot of information to digest.
We normally would not have ail these opportunities to engage with members open up so quickly. It is great timing that you reached out to us when our environmental leadership and then our national and chapter leadership come together for their annual meetings in Washington DC.
P.S. I bcc'ed everyone else while we iron out the details.
Warm regards, Melinda

Dear Melinda, Jeff, Leah, Jimmy, Scott:
Thank you for meeting with us yesterday to discuss the newly relaunched Sectors Initiative. We appreciated the open and frank discussion and look forward to building on your vast experience working with EPA and the prior Sectors initiative. We are excited to work with AGC as we reinvigorate our sector-based approach to environmental protection at EPA.
We are very impressed with the NEPA and section 404 regulatory requirements map. We appreciate the extensive effort it must have taken to develop. The conversation we had today on this with Robert Tomiak was equally as productive and I will work with Robert to find a time when you and Melinda can come to EPA to share your work. Streamlining permitting is an important focus for this administration and your expertise in this area will pave the way for what I can only assume will be some very productive conversations.
In addition, thank you for the offer to speak next week and at your member leadership meeting on September 25th and 26th. We're looking forward to next week and will touch base on both meetings early next week.
As we briefly discussed, we are looking at October 2-6, "manufacturing week," as a target date to publicly announce and introduce our new program. I will keep you informed as that planning solidifies.
Moving forward, I will be your point of contact and can be reached via email or by cell at j Ex. 6
