I think it is the Chemours facility near Fayetteville, NC and the chemical is used in making Teflon. The chemical has been found downstream from the plant and is affecting the drinking water of the local communities including Wilmington. Let me know if you need more info. I am also reaching out to Greg Peck in the Water Office whom I have known for a couple of decades but this likely affects more than just the Water office.
