Your work in coordinating the delivery of the vinyl chloride test material to Huntingdon Life Sciences in New Jersey was crucial. Project directors at Huntingdon also expressed their thanks for your training on handling the material and your genuine concern for a safe delivery. As you know, on June 26,1996, the Committee officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) to conduct this research. In addition to furthering our understanding of the health effects of vinyl chloride exposure, the project is an important step in establishing a partnership with ATSDR to address research needs for substances at hazardous waste sites.
