It has come to our attention that some steam-heated food
preparation ovens found in MMS&T facilities may be insulated
with asbestos containing materials. To avoid the possibility of contaminating food with asbestos >itis recommended that all ovens of this type be inspected to verify that their asbestos insulating material cobld not be released during use of the ovens. Asbestos insulating material used in this application should be replaced with
non-asbestos type as soon as practicable.
