I could lend you a reprint of Dr. Bessman's paper if you so wished Sincerely, MB:GW Enclosure ) c MASSACHUSETTS GENERALHOSPITAL 0 p Y Boston lit C 0 p Y April 12, 1956 Mr. Manfred Bowditch Lead Industries Association 1|20 Lexington Avenue NewYork 17, NewYork Bear Mr. Bowditch: We have been using Dr. Bessman's method for lead analysis since the beginning of our lead work. The reason that this antedates the publication of this paper is that Dr. Bessman happened to be here in this hospital at that time. This method is unquestionably faster and less subject to error than any of the previous methods. I doubt very much that we could have undertaken the lead project on its present scale without this method. Sincerely yours, /s/ Charles H. DuToit Charles H. DuToit, M.D. Director of Chemistry Lab.
