He has close contact with Nippon Asbestos, who will be our Grafoil, CPD product, fabricator and distributor. The synthetic asbestos has been developed, due to pollution and ecology problems aroused in the government as well as the public now. It is mainly Si02 with properties better than natural asbestos in acid and alkaline resistance. At present, the primarly use of synthetic asbestos is to replace natural asbestos as insulator materials. The production is still in the pilot plant stage and the regular production has not been started as yet. Therefore, we have no immediate fear of competition in our field of applications. But we will keep close watch and try to obtain further information and let you know later.
