This has turned out to be a tome, which might be diminished somewhat by some ardent editing, but I have attempted to include enough discussion, in relatively simple language, to make my views clear, even to an audience which physiological concepts are not generally familiar. ^ I shall, of course, have to select bits and pieces of the manuscript for reading - or for verbal presentation at the session, but I'd like to get the substance of the manuscript into circulation, as an expression of my interpretation of the available information.
