(b) A Doctor be selected and established at Wittenoom at a salary of 1,400 pounds per annum plus free house. (c) A Housing Commission cottage to be made available as the Doctor's residence - rent to be paid by Australian Blue Asbestos Limited. This arrangement to stand until a permanent Doctor's residence is considered necessary and is constructed. Whilst under this arrangement, a refrigerator and heavy furniture would be provided with the house. We would expect the permanent residence to be built within two years. (d) A vehicle, if and when requirud, to be made available by Australian Blue Asbestos Limited or Barrett and Radley Pty Ltd on a hire basis. It is considered that a vehicle would not be necessary except for cases away from Wittenoom Township, this arrangement to be reviewed after twelve months. (e) The Doctor's salary to be paid for as follows: 1749 i. Revenue from private practice. ii. Revenue received from State Government Insurance Office for cases covered under Workers' Compensation. iii. iv. Revenue from major operations and from cases not covered by subscription to the Hospital Fund. Balance to be made up to 1,400 Pounds per annum by equal payments by the State Health Department and Australian Blue Asbestos Limited. (f) All employees to continue to contribute to the Flying Doctor Service (see clause "a") so that the Flying Doctor may be called at any time if considered necessary by the local Doctor, without further charge to the patient. We would request your early comments regarding this proposal, and if agreeable to you, we will then submit them to our Head Office for formal approval, but we expect no objection from that quarter.
