Rundell I am sure you are all aware already of the Hazardous Substances Act Regulations on labeling of antique kits but I thought I would circulate the attached excerpt for your information with the view in mind that at the next printing of our antique kit, the necessary language ia added. I understand that the marbleizing kit and the Venetian gold kit are being discontinued this fiscal year and, hence, they do not present the same problem as our antique kit. We have the problem that the ''carton" is actually a burlap bag which is not clearly contemplated by the Regulations. I am not certain that we can rely on the approach that the bag is opened on the display counter, and, hence, does not constitute the "carton*', so I am suggesting that the labeling be added to the bag as soon as possible. An alternative which follows the spirit of the Regulations although not the letter of it, is to adopt the printed tag we had discussed in the past and this might be the best solution to the problem. A second alternative is a self-adhesive label but these are expensive to buy and expensive to apply. If Mr. Rundell would advise me the next time he receives a label request for renewal of our supply of antique kit bogs, we should review the situation and consider our approach further.
