Hess is not an approved supplier but has previously been found to be acceptable by Analytical and Quality Control specification properties and by Polymeri zation Research's bottle polymerization studies of kinetics and resulting resin properties. Purchasing's request was based on unavailability of an elec tronic grade (non-inhibited) TCE supplier to meet a 2/24/71 plant need. As E.J, Hourihan discussed with Production, Pur chasing was authorized to bring in the Hess TCE which would be evaluated for plant performance by P.E. and by P.E./Q.C. for resin properties.
