Sanborn visited the Calgary Energy, LLC oil and gas facility located near Pawhuska, Oklahoma on 01/21/2020 for an unannounced inspection. There were no representatives of Calgary Energy, LLC present for the inspection. The inspection was conducted by authority of the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act to determine compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. FACILITY DESCRIPTION This facility is known as the Mac No. 1 tank battery. Section II - OBSERVATIONS I observed fluids, including oil, oil sludge, and produced water in the secondary containment pit during the inspection. I observed fluids seeping out the base of the berm on the southeast corner at the tank battery. There was minor surface damage outside the containment area from the releases. Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN The secondary containment berms were seeping and releasing fluids in the secondary containment area. Section IV - FOLLOW UP EPA water enforcement will conduct a follow up inspection in approximately 3 months and will refer this facility to EPA R6 SPCC program.
