Sanborn visited the Wachtman-Schroeder, Inc. oil and gas facility located at latitude 36.785215 and longitude -96.268172 near Pawhuska, Oklahoma on 12/10/2019 for an unannounced inspection. There were no representatives of Wachtman-Schroeder, Inc. present for the inspection. The inspection was conducted by authority of the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act to determine compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. FACILITY DESCRIPTION This facility is located on the Whitetail Stuart Lease Section II - OBSERVATIONS I observed some older damaged surface area that had some scattered areas with no vegetation growth. I observed grass was covering about 70% of the old damage. The nearby creek was iced over during the inspection. The area was fenced in. Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN The surface damage from a previous documented brine spill had some lack of vegetation on it. Further evaluation of this in the spring may be needed, including potentially adding more topsoil and replanting the bare areas observed.
