You questioned how we arrived, at the figure of 0. 15 ppm as the average lead content of food materials. This was taken from your . article in the JOURNAL of INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE & TOXICOLOGY 22(9):381 (Nov. 1940), where you state that people consume a mean daily weight of 2135 gm. of food and beverages, the mean lead content of which was 0, 32 mg. , "equivalent to 0. 15 ppm". Whether or not we interpreted your statement in this article correctly, this is where we picked up the figure that we used in our preliminary discussions with you.
