EPICOTE FINISHES "Dutch Boy" Epicote Finishes are catalyzed epoxy resin coatings which produce air-dried films possessing many characteristics superior to those of conventional baked finishes. They are highly resistant to water, steam and brine solu tions, and to the fumes, splash and spillage of most acids, alkalis and corrosive chemicals. Epicote Finishes are also highly resistant to fats, oils and greases, and to the action of fuels and solvents. They form hard, flexible, abrasion re sistant films that afford maximum protection for buildings, machinery and equipment exposed to corrosive chemical action, abrasion or weather ing. Epicote Finishes are not thermoplastic and will withstand dry heat up to 400 F. EPICOTE PRIMERS "Dutch Boy" Epicote Primers are formu lated for use in combination with Epicote Fin ishes to afford complete coating systems for a wide range of surface and service conditions. White Epicote Primer is designed primarily for use as a primer-undercoater on wood sur faces but it is also recommended as an inter mediate coat on metal surfaces that have been primed with one of the following metal primers. Red Strontium Chromate Primer is a high ly effective corrosion-inhibitant, formulated for use as a prime coat on aluminum, magnesium or ferrous metal surfaces. Red Lead Epicote Primer and Gray Epicote Primer are designed for use as corrosion-inhibit ing primers on ferrous metal surfaces prior to the application of Epicote Finishes.
