Dear Doctor Baker:

These results establish that these men have had no recent signifi cant Iced exposure, as they are ail within normal rsngee.
As it has been some months sinoe B|H^andflHH|ph&ve triced In the Treating Department, it is not to unexpected that they would now show high levels of excretion* In the case of the other men, the results establish that these men do not have any abnormal lead exposure as a result of their present occupation*
one considers the active clinical findings on flHBond PBh relation to the results of the analyses of blood and urine, Tm^r^led to the conclusion that their symptoms are not the result of load absorption* The presence of active symptoms of lead intoxication is In our experience invariably associated with elevated levels of urinary lead excretion and high levels of lead in the blood*
In view of the entirely negative results obtained on these samples, you say wish to reconsider your early decision of having your men examined* On the other hand, should you adhere to your original expression, it will be possible for us to carry these out for you and we are prepared to discuss the arrangements with you. If the men on whom these samples were obtained represent the usual conditions of work and exposure in your Treating Operation, then It would seem that your operation is free from actual hazard* The exposure that these men hove had is no greater than that experienced by normal individuals* If it seems likely that there will be difficulties with the men or that medico-legal questions may arise, it would bo of utmost importance for you to be prepared with adequate radical records on the entire group*
