MONZON (HUESCA) A.r. oo*uo*i June 14, 1966 Subject * Demineralisation of finger-ends in P7C - Monzon Dear Dr* Kelly* First I want to thank you for the aedioal examination and the supply of peaioilin tablets* Also, Dr* Budo appreciated the lighter and knife very much and sends his respeots* Paul Klingspora reoeived background information oonoeming some results of testing for demineralisation of finger-ends in Springfield and in other companies* You discussed this briefly with me when I was in St* Louis* Our procedure for F7C kettle oleaning in Monzon is briefly * 1* The kettles are flushed with water after dumping the batch* 2* The kettle is then filled completely with water and dumped to the sewer* 3* An air blower is Installed to provide fresh air in the kettle* There is no notioable odor. 4* The operator does not normally wear protective gloves when oleaning the kettlee. 5* The oleaning frequency for each operator is about three 8-hour shiftsj&sonth* (total exposure of about 24 hrs/month)* We plan to X-ray fingers of the operators during their annual physioals* the physioals of the PVC personnel start this month and ws should have data available by mid-August* We will continue oleaning without gloves until after the X-rays are taken.
