Dear Dr. Machle: In response to your letter of October 22nd, we are enclosing the list of customer companies who are now blending or have ever blended lead. These companies have all had manu facturing license agreements with us and we have indicated by a cross the companies to whom we have never made any fluid shipments. We have from 15,000 to 20,000 marketing companies who store leaded gasoline in a total of approximately 40,000 tanks. We should appreciate your advice as to the approximate time this list should be completed. In connection with the second list, we are revising our jobber report forms and these new forms will include information on the number of bulk plants, location, tankage, and number of tanks used for storing leaded gasoline. This information should be of assistance to us when we begin the work on tanks at the bulk plants.
